Molahin supports the responsible use of new technology while protecting transparency, originality, and trust across the music marketplace. When publishing music on Molahin, creators must indicate whether artificial intelligence was used in the creative production of the work. This information appears as an AI label on the product to help buyers understand how the music was created.

Why has Molahin introduced AI labels?

Artificial intelligence is becoming part of modern music production. It may be used as a supporting tool in a human-led creative process, or it may generate major parts of a recording.

Leading organizations across the global music industry have introduced a unified approach to identifying AI-Assisted and AI-Generated recordings. The purpose is not to prevent artists from using AI, but to provide clearer information about its role in the creative process.

Molahin has introduced AI labels as part of our commitment to:

  • Providing greater transparency for buyers and listeners.
  • Recognizing the difference between human-created, AI-assisted, and AI-generated music.
  • Supporting responsible innovation in music production.
  • Protecting the integrity of creators and the Molahin marketplace.

Available AI labels

Creators must select one of the following options when publishing an eligible beat, sound, or musical work.

No AI Used

Select No AI Used when the music was created without generative AI being used to produce its creative elements.

This generally includes music composed, performed, recorded, arranged, and produced by people using conventional instruments, software, samples, effects, and production tools.

Normal production tools such as equalizers, compressors, limiters, noise reduction, pitch correction, and mastering software do not ordinarily make a work AI-generated.

ai AI-Assisted

Select AI-Assisted when the work remains substantially human-created, but artificial intelligence was used to assist with one or more creative elements.

Examples may include:

  • Using AI to suggest or create a supporting melody, chord progression, rhythm, or arrangement.
  • Adding an AI-generated background vocal or supporting instrument.
  • Using generative AI to modify or extend part of a recording.
  • Incorporating an AI-generated element into a production that is otherwise primarily created by the artist or producer.

This label is appropriate when human creativity, direction, and production remain the main foundation of the work.

ai AI-Generated

Select AI-Generated when all, most, or a significant defining part of the music was generated through artificial intelligence.

Examples may include:

  • Generating an entire song or instrumental from a text prompt.
  • Using an AI-generated lead vocal.
  • Using AI to generate the main instrumental performance.
  • Publishing music where most of the composition, performance, or recording was produced by a generative AI system.

Editing, mixing, mastering, or arranging AI-generated output does not automatically make the work human-created. The label should reflect how the main creative content was originally produced.

How do I choose the correct label?

Consider where the main creative expression in the recording came from.

Choose No AI Used when the creative musical content was made by people without generative AI.

Choose ai AI-Assisted
when people created most of the work and AI provided limited creative assistance.

Choose ai AI-Generated
when AI produced most of the work or generated an important defining element, such as the lead vocal or primary instrumental performance.

When uncertain, creators should choose the label that provides buyers with the clearest and most transparent description of the production process.

Does using AI prevent me from selling on Molahin?

No. Molahin allows eligible music created with the assistance of artificial intelligence, including qualifying AI-generated music, provided that it complies with Molahin’s terms, publishing requirements, and intellectual property rules.

The AI label is intended to provide transparency. It is not an automatic judgment about the quality or value of the music.

Important rights and ownership requirements

Selecting an AI label does not confirm that a work is legally cleared, original, or eligible for commercial use.

Creators remain responsible for ensuring that they have all rights and permissions required to upload, license, and sell their work.

You must not upload content that:

  • Copies or unlawfully reproduces copyrighted music, lyrics, melodies, recordings, or samples.
  • Imitates or clones a real person’s voice without the necessary authorization.
  • Falsely represents an AI-generated performance as being performed or approved by a real artist.
  • Uses protected names, identities, likenesses, trademarks, or other rights without permission.
  • Violates the terms or commercial-use restrictions of the AI service used to create the content.

Before publishing, creators should review the licensing terms of every AI tool used and confirm that its output may be used commercially.

Can Molahin change an AI label?

Molahin may review, correct, remove, or request additional information about an AI label when the selected classification appears inaccurate, misleading, or inconsistent with the content.

Repeated failure to disclose AI use accurately may result in content removal or other action under Molahin’s marketplace policies.

Updating an existing product

When editing an existing product, review the Artificial Intelligence field and select the option that correctly describes how the work was created.

The selected label should apply to the actual audio being offered, including any updated or replacement version.

Our approach

Molahin believes that technology can support creativity, but buyers and listeners should be able to understand how the music they discover was produced.

AI labels help us support innovation without overlooking transparency, creator responsibility, and the value of human artistry.
